Healthy Eating

 Your child’s health and wellbeing are of the utmost importance to the staff at Keighley community Nursery, who caringly support each child as they develop through the stages of self-care and work closely with parents to support the child through each step. We believe that group snack and meal times play a vital role in the social development of children of all ages and we encourage all children to eat together to help to develop good eating habits and simple table manners. This also helps to develop their understanding of healthy eating.

The daily routine in each room is carefully planned to promote all aspects of healthy living, including hygiene and independence, according to the developmental stage and level of understanding of the children. We encourage children to be independent and provide appropriate sized cutlery and crockery to support them in this.
